2026 m. liepos 16 d. Klaipėdos miesto globos namų atstovai lankėsi Ventspilyje, kur susitiko su projekto „ElderGuardian“ partneriais iš Latvijos ir susipažino su jų įgyvendinamomis projekto veiklomis bei įsigyta įranga.

Vizito Ventspilio socialinės globos namuose „Selga“ metu partneriai pristatė projekto lėšomis įsigytą medicininę įrangą ir kritimų prevencijai bei nustatymui skirtą sistemą. Susitikimo dalyviai aptarė įrangos veikimo principus, jos pritaikymą socialinės globos įstaigoje bei galimybes padidinti gyventojų saugumą ir užtikrinti greitesnę darbuotojų reakciją į galimus nelaimingus atsitikimus.

Susitikimo metu taip pat buvo aptarti su viešaisiais pirkimais susiję vėlavimai, jų poveikis projekto veiklų įgyvendinimui ir tolesni partnerių veiksmai, siekiant numatytus projekto rezultatus pasiekti laiku.

Vėliau projekto partneriai lankėsi Ventspilio koncertų salėje „Latvija“, kur vietos žiniasklaidos atstovams ir visuomenei buvo pristatyta projekto „ElderGuardian“ eiga, įgyvendintos veiklos ir jau pasiekti rezultatai. Susitikimo metu buvo rengiama projekto viešinimo medžiaga.

Vizitas suteikė galimybę partneriams pasidalyti patirtimi, aptarti projekto įgyvendinimo iššūkius ir praktiškai susipažinti su Latvijos partnerių pasirinktais sprendimais, skirtais socialinės globos paslaugų kokybei ir vyresnio amžiaus žmonių saugumui gerinti.

Projektas „ElderGuardian“ įgyvendinamas bendradarbiaujant Lietuvos ir Latvijos partneriams pagal Interreg VI-A Latvijos ir Lietuvos programą.

On 16 July 2026, representatives of Klaipėda City Care Home visited Ventspils, where they met with the Latvian partners of the “ElderGuardian” project and learned more about the project activities they are implementing and the equipment they have purchased.

During the visit to Ventspils Social Care Home “Selga”, the partners presented the medical equipment and the fall prevention and detection system purchased with project funding. The participants discussed how the equipment works, its application in a social care institution, and its potential to improve residents’ safety and enable staff to respond more quickly to possible accidents.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss delays related to public procurement, their impact on the implementation of project activities, and the partners’ next steps to ensure that the planned project results are achieved on time.

Later, the project partners visited the “Latvija” Concert Hall in Ventspils, where the progress of the “ElderGuardian” project, the activities implemented, and the results achieved to date were presented to representatives of the local media and the wider public. Communication materials were also prepared to increase the visibility of the project, and a photo session was held with project representatives and stakeholders.

The visit gave the partners an opportunity to exchange experience, discuss challenges related to project implementation, and gain first-hand insight into the solutions selected by the Latvian partners to improve the quality of social care services and enhance the safety of older people.

The “ElderGuardian” project is being implemented through cooperation between Lithuanian and Latvian partners under the Interreg VI-A Latvia–Lithuania Programme.
